2oo9: The Wrap-Up

Well, it's finally here...the end of 2oo9. Im surprised how fast it went. But to be honest, Im glad that its over with. There were the best of times...and then there were the worst of times.Had the chance to meet some cool new friends, as well as having to lose a few in the process. I really found a small circle of people that I can really call "friends". Haven't found "That One" yet, I finally decided to just drop it and let her find me.

Been slacking on those goals that I set at the very beginning of this year, but now I'm very determined to accomplish them all..and then some. At one point in your life, you have to learn that you cant look for everybody to get things done for you..you gotta learn how to do it on your own.

With that said, I wish everybody a Happy New Year, and I will see you in 2o1o.

Im Back....kinda

Man, I haven't been blogging on here in a while. But nothing interesting has been going on with me lately so, it is what it is.LOL.

But Ive been doing alot of thinking as of late.

Starting next week, everyday, Im gonna write a little something on here just to let yall know whats going through my mind(as if most of you care)LOL. They will be titled "The Patrick Darrell Diaries".

THESE ARE A MUST HAVE!!!

In my opinion, Wale's "Attention Deficit" is the best debut album of 2oo9. What got me was the album cover. When you first see an album cover as dope as this, you expect for the actual album to be dope as well....and it didnt disappoint me. My favorite songs on this album were "Beautiful Bliss","Shades", and "Inhibitions" feat. Pharrell. I really recommend you to buy this..you won't be disappointed.

Also....

You gotta listen to this mixtape called "Burn After Rolling" from an up and coming artist named Wiz Khalifa. If you're a real Hip-Hop head, this is one dude you shouldn't sleep on. I would even throw this in as one of the best mixtapes of 2oo9.

No Ceilings

This is the latest mixtape from Lil' Wayne. It was suppose to come out on Halloween, but I got the whole thing last night.hahaha.

Overall, it was a pretty decent mixtape...the best one he released since Drought 3. I liked how he used little to NO auto-tune on it...unlike The Dedication 3(SMH).And..as much as I hate to say it... he killed Jay-Z's tracks!But personally, I like the Wayne from 2006..he was at his best lyrically back then.

Michael Jackson's "This Is It"

So yesterday was the premier of Michael Jackson's movie "This Is It", and being the true MJ fan that I am, I went to see it alone. It had me on the edge of my seat, even though it was just rehearsals. The scenes for "Smooth Criminal", and "Thriller" was clean as hell. It really showed you how big of a perfectionist Mike really is. But it's really worth watching, so go see it if you havent already.

Time To Vent....

Okay, so people wanna know what's been goin on with me lately. Why am I so angry? Why haven't I been the happy person that I normally am? Well, in order to make myself feel better, Ive decided to air it out.

My self-esteem is at an all-time low, and now I feel like my friends are turning against me. Im really confused about who are really my "friends". Recently, some of these people that I considered my "friends" went behind my back, and said and did some f*cked up things. It kinda hurt me a little bit cuz whenever they needed something from me, if I had it, I was there for em. Now I came to realize that when Im in a messed up situation, they never helped me out. I feel like I dont have the support from either my friends or family. Nobody bothers to come show me love when Im lonely, or even cares how I feel so I sayF*** EVERYBODY!! I DONT NEED YA!

This quote is one of my favorites right now because that's what I was struggling with when I was younger. Trying to be something/somebody that Im not just because I was uncomfortable with who I was.

My take on this now is that at the end of the day, no matter how good you look or how good of a personality yo may have, nobody's perfect. The person that you look up to and trying to copy has flaws just like you do.Everyone has something about them that makes them an individual in their own way.

Take that into consideration...

Motivational Dream

The other night, me and my boy Devon was talkin about just about life and how we gotta just get our priorities in order. So, I told him about this wild dream I had.

Basically, It was a dream about me having a conversation with my own self..kinda like a conscience if you will. The reflection of myself was just sayin some real shit about how my motivation to being successful in life had died down. Also, he was saying that I really need to get my priorities in order and take care of what's important first instead of "keeping up with the Jonses". And the last thing that he said to me was to keep pursuing your dream and not to let anybody discourage me from what i wanna do in life.

When I woke up, I had a new outlook on life.

I feel that a lot of people fall short of achieving their goals, or doing whats true to them because they are afraid of what others may think. We get tied down to these jobs that we really hate and see no real progression because of the fear of failing, and people telling us "I told you so". My thoughts on this is that you are going to have people tell you that what you want out of life can't be achieved solely for the fact that their jealous that you are trying, when they themselves had given up. But at the end of the day, its about YOU and what YOU want. Don't let ANYBODY live your life for you.Do what's real to you.

And one last thing....Never sell your soul for a Dollar!

The Best Air Jordans Ever Made!!

Anybody who knows me, knows that I love to dress, and I love fashion. A few months ago, I was pshched to find out that one of my favorite pair of Air Jordans, the AJ XI "Space Jams" will be coming out on December 23, just two days before Christmas. I would throw these on my top 5 favorite pair of sneakers.They cost $175, but if you wanna get them before everybody else, they run about $300-$400...but idk anybody dumb enough who would pay that much. Id just rather wait until the release date.lol.These are inspired by the movie "Space Jam", starring Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes.

Okay so I just got done with lookin at the MTV Hottest MCs In the Game for this year, and I gotta say...they disappointed me again. Heres the list:

What has Gucci Mane done??A few features here and there.Please, his previous albums havent even went Gold! And on top of that they left out T.I., and Jadakiss whom also had a pretty good year.

And why is 50 Cent on this list? Is anybody really checkin for this dude? His carreer went down the toilet after Get Rich or Die Tryin.SMH
